This week has been bitter sweet!
We’ve handed off quite a bit of people and finished up the lessons with others. Then one person we had on date just had a crazy thing happen and they had to quickly move. It’s been sad to lose so many people, but Schumpeter Gale is a wonderful thing! With the loss of those we teach we’ve found some people who are way ready. So this next week should be really good!
We had a dope lesson with Aziza and Ben! They’re getting married Nov 2 and then her baptism is Nov 5. We’re trying to rope them in to having us as the witnesses for that, because Elder Wilcox thinks it’d be cool, ha (plus I just added them to the email list, so I’m puttin’ on the pressure :P). We talked about the commandments and work on Sundays was a slight problem. We invited her to stop working, and she’s rad, so she went okay I won’t work Sundays anymore.
Also we gave talks this Sunday. Elder Wilcox spoke on the Atonement and I on Happiness. I really don’t mind giving talks anymore. They’re a lot of fun now. One quote that I think I’ve shared before, but I love is
Joseph Smith- “Happiness is the object and design of our existence and will be the end thereof, if we pursue the path that leads to it: And this path is virtue, uprightness, faithfulness, holiness, and keeping all the commandments of God”
I love you all, make it a great day!
